My Thoughts

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Daddy Donkey and His Little Son is a sweet story that conveys how fatherly love conquers all, even when father and son are not biologically related. It also teaches an important lesson that one must help others in distress without being biased by their differences.

Children will learn about the value of kindness and generosity and the joy of giving without expecting anything in return.

Bright, life-like illustrations tell the story as much as the text does, so children who cannot read yet will also enjoy the book.

There’s a maze at the end for children to work out, connecting the donkey with the lion cub and reinforcing the lesson that the bond of love brooks no prejudices.
