WWW Wednesday (3-Feb-2021)

I’ve read so many WWW Wednesday posts and I’m inspired to take part in this weekly tag hosted by Taking on a World of Words. As part of the tag, you answer three questions about your weekly reading.

What are you currently reading?

I’m currently reading Blue Shadow Prophecy by Anca Antoci, the second book in the Chimera trilogy.

Book 1 (Forget Me Not) was a five-star read for me, so I was eagerly waiting for the sequel to release. The author was kind enough to offer an ARC, and I’m 38% done!

What did you recently finish reading?

I recently finished reading a compact self-help book by Ayesha Ratnayake called Cheat Sheets for Life [my review].

She covers a lot of aspects such as happiness, productivity, learning, parenting, sleep, and so on. She’s gleaned information from hundreds of books and articles to compile the most pertinent facts and present them in an easy-to-read manner.

What do you think you’ll read next?

I have been eagerly waiting for Dr. Anirban Mahapatra’s book, COVID-19: Separating Fact from Fiction. I subscribe to his weekly newsletter on Substack, which is filled with interesting science facts and discussions. The tone of his writing is calm and conversational, making you want to read on.

I’m so excited to begin reading his debut book. It releases on February 24 and can be pre-ordered through the link below:

  1. Yes, yes it is. Even though I’m yet to begin it, I’ve read the author’s work in the form of newsletters and tweet threads and I am sure it will be a good book.

  2. I know I should read the COVID 19 book but, honestly, I am probably better equipped to read the Cheat Sheets for life. I need some quick support in several areas of my life. Hah!

    Have a wonderful week!

  3. I’m curious about the self help book and am heading over to your review to explore it further. I just finished Less and loved it. I’m listening to Sally Rooney’s Conversations with Friends. It’s great. I’ll probably begin reading Robert MacFarlane’s Underland.
