Synopsis

In this new installment of the bestselling Luke and Lottie series, the twins are excited that winter is over and go play outside. They see butterflies and all the good things Spring brings along.

Then they find a yellow chick that lost its mommy and go on a quest with daddy to find a ‘white animal’ that could be its mommy. They find foals, lambs, and rabbits. And then they find the white duck with all its ducklings. This book closes with a sweet spread of mommy with her own chicks, Luke & Lottie.

Spring is here! Twins Luke and Lottie are going to play outside. The trees have new leaves and the birds are making nests. Wait, what’s that noise in the bushes? It’s a fluffy, yellow chick! Where’s his mommy? Luke and Lottie decide to help.

A cheerful and simple story about spring. For toddlers ages 30 months and up, with a focus on the child’s world.

My Thoughts

Rating: 5 out of 5.

What a lovely, sweet story about children observing plants and animals outside during spring!

The illustrations are beautiful, colorful, and attractive. The text is placed well such that parents can read to the child while he/she looks at the pictures.

I’m sure children will relate to the themes discussed in the book. Highly recommended.

(I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.)
